Pagode Music

Today I'm going to talk about a subject that I like a lot, the music, more expecificaly Pagode Music. My passion to this kind of music started since my 10 years old, when I begun to listen music.
Pagode is a Brazilian musical genre, it is from Rio de Janeiro, this music type is very common in Favelas where the income is very low and the people who live there are poor. In the old days the parties in Senzalas had this name, so after that every party in those places that had drink, fun and music was call Pagode.
This genre suffer lots of prejudice and discrimination from the people who like Rock music and the upper class in Brazil. But Pagode has lots of followers and it is well known in all around world, in some places, for example, when a Brazilian say to a person from other nationality that it is from Brazil, immediatly the other person say "Oh Brazil, Samba, Pagode." this is very common.
Since the 70 decade Pagode started to associate to Sambas that some bands made. There were 3 generations in Pagode, in 1980, Cacique de Ramos's generation, which has bands like Originais do Samba, Fundo de Quintal, Jorge Aragão, Beth Carvalho, Zeca Pagodinho, Martinho da Vila, Almir Guineto and Alcione. In 1990 Pagode's generation, Raça Negra, Só Pra Contrariar, Katinguelê, Negritude Jr, Exaltasamba, Molejo, Os Morenos, Art Popular, KaraMetade, Soweto, Os Travessos and Dudu Nobre. In 2002, the third generation, Belo, Alexandre Pires, Exaltasamba, Revelação, Rodriguinho, Gustavo Lins, Inimigos da HP, Jeito Moleque, Pixote, Sorriso Maroto, Swing Simpatia and Turma do Pagode.
In Pelotas there is lots of pagode's band like Agora é Pra Valer and SambaÊh. I love Pagode, I like to go to the concerts and I like to listen. This kind of music makes me feel better and more relaxed, this is my passion and how everyone say, I'm Pagodeira.
